Use of the Adjective!


1. Attributive. _____When the article precedes the adjective, it must be translated attributively. When the article is absent, context will determine if it is attributive or predictively.

2. Predicative______This is where the adjective makes an assertion about the noun. When predicative the article does not immediately precede the adjective. (The inferred "to be " verbs)

3. Substantive___This is when we have an adjective used without to noun. The complete sentence is inferred. When the masculine plural form is used it means in a general sense.
