
The Ingredients
Frankincense
Psalms 141:2 – May my prayer be set before you as incense.
Luke 1:10 – and when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers prayed.
Revelation 5:8 – Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
Revelation 8:3 – Another angel who had a golden censor came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer with the prayers of the saints.
Oil
Biblically, an ingredient symbolic of anointing by God.
Psalms 133:2-3 – Aaron was anointed with oil.
Hebrews 1: 9 – Jesus was anointed with “the oil of joy" See John chapter 3 for Jesus being anointed with the Spirit.
Salt of the covenant.
Numbers 18:19 – it is an everlasting covenant of salt before your Lord.
II Chronicles 13:5 – David received his kingship by a covenant of salt.
Jesus as the First Fruits
1st Cor. 15:23 "but to each one in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after those who are Christ's at His coming."
James 1:18 - "Of His own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of His creatures.
Eph. 2:10 - We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus.
